Regent Venture’s Owyhee project is located in the Cope Mining District in Northern Elko County, Nevada, half mile from Mountain City, Nevada.  The property consists of 51 lode mining claims and 12 patented claims and lies within the Independence Trend.

Previous work in the district consisted of surface and near-surface silver mining until the 1940’s when Bonanza style gold was discovered below the water table. In the early 1980’s soil and rock sampling indicated the presence of gold mineralization in several structures on and around the patented mining claims.  At present a geologic mapping, soil and rock sampling program has been undertaken to further delineate and define the gold bearing structures on the property.  The gold and silver bearing structures have been traced to both the east and west of the district with additional structures mapped and sampled.  To the north of the patented claims area, 10 lode claims have been located in the China Gulch area on a skarn-type mineralization in which veins and sulfides were sampled in 1982 and assayed up to 0.10 opt gold,  Preliminary soil sampling along claim lines and tock sampling in pits, adits and outcrops has been carried out this season. ...
